WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Miami University golf team is tied for 12th after two rounds of the Boilermaker Invitational on Saturday. The RedHawks shot a morning round of 295 and an afternoon round of 306 for a team score of 25-over par. They are only six shots out of seventh place in a tightly bunched field. Illinois leads the tournament at five-over par.

Freshman Greg Conrad had the best performance of his collegiate career on Saturday. He opened up with a two-under par round of 70 to share the first round lead. He shot a 76 in the afternoon as is currently the top Miami golfer in a tie for 12th at two-over par.

Junior Scott Cahill shot a 73 in the morning, the second best round by a RedHawk on the day. He followed with a 77 in the afternoon and is tied for 32nd at six-over par.

Senior Mark MacDonald had rounds of 75 and 77, and is tied for 46th at eight-over par. Sophomore Daniel Schwarz is right behind him in a tie for 53rd at nine-over par. Sophomore Jack Sparling rounds out the Miami golfers in a tie for 70th at 12-over par.

The Boilermaker Invitational concludes with one final round of 18 holes on Sunday.
