ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – The Miami University golf team is in eighth place after two rounds of the Wolf Run Intercollegiate on Saturday. The RedHawks have a team score of 36-over par, and are only six shots out of fourth place. Illinois leads the tournament at five-under par, 25 shots in front of the field.

Junior Scott Cahill was Miami’s top performer on Saturday. He shot rounds of 74 and 73, and is currently tied for 11th at five-over par. Senior Mark MacDonald had a 76 and a 73 and is tied for 19th at seven-over par.

Other RedHawk finishers included freshman Jared Hammons, who is tied for 29th at 10-over par in his first collegiate tournament. Freshman Greg Conrad is tied for 48th at 15-over par, while junior Luke Shaughnessy is tied for 54th at 17-over par.

The Wolf Run Intercollegiate concludes with one final round of 18 holes on Sunday.
