ROUEN, France--Unofficial results from the French Cup have Miami University's senior synchronized skating team finishing in fifth place among the 14-team field. Representing the United States at the event, Miami compiled a combined score of 159.44.

After posting a score of 55.20 for their short program set to Blue Suede Shoes on Friday evening, the RedHawks notched a score of 104.24 for their free skate program themed Gypsy on Saturday evening.

Team Unique from Finland won the event with a combined score of 183.92, while Marigold IceUnity from Finland finished second with a score of 179.24. Team Paradise from Russia notched a score of 169.02 to finish third, while Les Supremes from Canada finished fourth with a score of 165.86.

The RedHawks topped Sweden's Team Boomerang by nearly 10 points as they compiled a combined score of 139.94 for the event.

The senior team does not compete again until the U.S. National Championships March 1-3. The RedHawk collegiate team is in action at the Tri-State Championships in Fraser, Mich. on Saturday, Feb. 11.
