FRASER, Mich.--Miami University's collegiate synchronized skating team remained undefeated this season, winning the Tri-State Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The RedHawks amassed a score of 83.53 at the event, besting their nearest competitors by a 5.69 margin with their program to music by Beyonce. Michigan placed second among the four-team field with a score of 77.84, while Michigan State followed with a score of 66.67 and Adrian rounded out the collegiate field with a score of 61.34.
This was the final competition of the season for the RedHawks before the U.S. National Championships March 1-3.
The RedHawks host a Nationals Send-Off Exhibition at Steve Cady Arena at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. All three teams will perform their competitive programs for the Miami and Oxford communities one last time before heading to the national championships. The event is free and open to the public.
