Joined the RedHawk program in January after her December graduation from high school.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons of tennis at Herschel Girls High School... held the No. 1 position... made the finals of the South African National High Altitude U18 championshp in 2011... won national title in the Coastal Altitude that same year... her state team won the U12, U14, U16 and U18 championships... earned a gold academic badge... also played hockey from 2008-10.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Mark and Shane Heerden... is undecided on a collegiate major... was first introduced to collegiate tennis by her second cousin, who played at Northwestern.
