2012: Played in all 12 games, starting 11 times for the RedHawks, recording 65 tackles, six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one interception. Had eight stops and a sack against Kent State. Totaled six tackles and a sack in the win against Ohio. Had 10 tackles against Massachusetts, a career high. Honorable mention Academic All-MAC.

2011: Started the first three games of the season on the defensive line ... recorded 12 total tackles in addition to 1.5 sacks and one interception.

2010: Played in nine games, getting starting assignments vs. Eastern Michigan and at Central Michigan ... he had five solo tackles and two TFLs at Cincinnati ... Williams and his teammates ranked nationally in rushing defense (25th, 127.6 ypg), in pass efficiency defense (26th) and in total defense (28th, 338.2 ypg).

2009: He played in 11 games, starting five times as a true freshman, including the season opener vs. Kentucky (two tackles) ... recorded 14 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 0.5 QB sacks ... his season highlight came in Miami's victory over Toledo, scoring a 20-yard touchdown following an interception. He also had a season-best four tackles.

HIGH SCHOOL: Along with current Miami teammate JoJo Williams, Wes helped lead Strake Jesuit to district championship ... he recorded 11 sacks, earning all-district honors ... was invited to play in the Bayou Bowl (Texas vs. Louisiana) ... he was a starting forward on the Crusaders' 2008-09 basketball team which finished with a 37-1 record and ranked 21st in the nation ... has done community service with the mentally challenged ... prep football coach was Ron Counter.

PERSONAL: Born December 12, 1990 in Fullerton, California ... son of Stan and Maria Williams ... dad was an all-Southwest Conference linebacker and three-year starter at Texas Tech ... he carries a cumulative 3.0+ GPA at Miami, majoring in finance.
