2012: In 11 games during the 2012 season, Nunley totaled 63 tackles and three interceptions ... He tallied 11 tackes and two break-ups in the victory over Ohio ... Against Bowling Green Nunley made his 11th career interception in the third quarter, moving him into sole possession of eighth place on Miami's all-time list. It was also Nunley's second pick of the season ... In the game against Massachusetts the junior cornerback picked off his first pass of the season in the fouth quarter in the end zone for a touchback. It was his 10th career interception, which moves him into a tie for eighth in Miaimi History with Milt Bowen (1999-01), Sheldon White (1984-86) and Bob Smith (1965-67). He also made a career-high nine tackles in the game, including six solo stops and one INT ... against Boise State, he notched seven tackles with two coming for a loss ... had a five-tackle, two-PBU performance in the season opener at Ohio State ... a first-team All-MAC defensive cornerback in 2011, he was named to the Jim Thorpe Award's Watch List in July ... among Miami's DBs, Nunley is one of the strongest bench-pressers, maxing at 335 pounds ... has a career total of 12 interceptions through his first three seasons ... Nunley was particularly impressive in the GoDaddy.com Bowl game vs. Middle Tennessee State, earning Defensive MVP honors. He returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown on the first drive of the third quarter. The return was his first for a score and the longest in Miami bowl history. He also returned his first-ever kickoff, galloping a Miami bowl record 38 yards ... his other five picks came at Eastern Michigan, vs. Kent State, at Central Michigan, at Bowling Green and at Akron ... Nunley had a season-best eight tackles in MU's narrow victory over KSU and seven stops vs. Temple.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letter winner and a two-time captain for Gateway High School ... fellow RedHawk freshman Orne Bey and he were part of a senior class that compiled a 34-4 record and ranked first in the state and third in the nation ... a first-team all-conference and second-team all-state cornerback ... totaled 146 tackles, eight interceptions and a school-record 23 passes broken up ... prep coach was Terry Smith.
