2011-12: Cross Country -- Academic All-MAC ... ran in the last five races of the season, scoring for Miami in all of them ... posted a season-best 8K time of 25:43.0 at the MAC Championship, placing third for Miami and 50th overall ... also finished third for the RedHawks at the LSU Invitational, helping them win the meet, while taking seventh overall (27:31.7) in his first race of the year ... again was Miami's third scorer at the Penn State National meet, claiming 55th in 27:52 ... placed 134th at the 10K NCAA Great Lakes Regional in 33:07.6 as Miami's fifth scorer ... took 66th at the All-Ohio Championship (26:22.76) ... missed Miami's first two races due to injury.

2010-11: Cross Country -- Ohio Freshman of the Year ... competed in all seven races, scoring for Miami in five of them ... posted an 8K personal-best time of 24:58.8 at the All-Ohio Championship to place 16th and third on the team ... finished 32nd at the MAC Championship and fifth on the team in 25:40.1 ... took fourth overall and third on the team at the Miami Invitational (25:41) and was 25th overall while also scoring for Miami at the Spartan Invitational (25:31) ... ran the season-opening Flyer 5K Challenge in 15:26, crossing in 11th and was third on the team and 94th overall at the 10K Great Lakes Regional in 32:30.61. Track and Field -- During the MAC Championships, competed in the 10,000m run and placed seventh after posting a time of 32:28.91 ... posted a personal-best 10,000m time of 31:31.51 to place fourth at the All- Ohio Outdoor Championships ... set a personal record of 8:39.68 in the 3000m run at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invite, claiming ninth ... also set a personal best in the 5000m run while at the Miami Invitational with a time of 14:54, to place fifth ... ran the 1500m for the first time in career and placed 10th with a time of 4:04.45 during the Indiana Billy Hayes Invitational ... indoors, placed first during the Rick Meindl Last Call meet in the 3000m run thanks to a time of 8:49.40.

2009-10: Cross Country -- Ran in just one race, running unattached and finishing 39th overall in 26:11 at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational (Oct. 3) ... time would have placed him seventh among Miami finishers at the race. Track and Field -- Finished 11th at the MAC Championships in the 10,000m run, recording a season-best time of 31:59:73 ... ran the 3000m at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational, clocking in at 8:51.30, good for fourth place ... took sixth in the 5000m run in a season-best 14:55:99 at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational ... also ran the 10K at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships, finishing 16th in 33:55:66 ... indoors, placed fourth in the 5000m run with a time of 15:19:78 at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships.

High School: Earned four letters in both cross country and track, serving as team captain for both teams ... as a senior, won the 2008 CSL conference championship and was a two-time state qualifier ... in track, qualified for the state meet as a senior and helped team capture back-to-back sectional titles in 2008 and 2009 ... was coached by David Phillips.

Personal: Born in May of 1991 in Evanston, Ill. ... son of Maureen Gast-Marol and Ralph Marol ... majoring in management with a minor in entrepreneurship.
