OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University Men’s Swimming and Diving head coach Pete Lindsay has announced the RedHawks’ 2013-14 schedule on Thursday. This action-packed season consists of seven home meets and seven road competitions, including the Mid-American Conference Championships in Buffalo, N.Y.

The season opens with the team’s annual Red vs. White Intrasquad meet on Sep. 21.

The RedHawks will then launch their regular season with a co-ed home meet against Xavier on Oct. 19.  Miami will have its first away meet in Cleveland, Ohio against Cleveland State on Nov. 2. Shortly after, the RedHawks will host a dual meet against Ohio State in Oxford, Ohio on Nov. 9.

After returning from Thanksgiving break, the team comes back the first week in December to host its annual Miami University Invitational Meet, Dec. 5-7.  Believed to be one of the team’s most competitive meets prior to the conference championships, this coed meet often exhibits fast swimming and high diving scores.

Cutting their winter break short, the RedHawks will travel down to Plantation, Fla. to get some extra work and training in Dec. 27-Jan. 7.

After winter training, Miami will return to Oxford on Jan. 9 to compete in a home co-ed meet against Cincinnati. The RedHawks will then finish up January with two travel meets, the first at Evansville on Jan. 18, and the second at Buffalo on Jan. 25.

Miami will start off the month of February with a home meet against Eastern Michigan on Feb. 1, followed by its last dual meet of the season in Muncie, Ind. against Ball State on Feb. 8.

The Ohio Senior Championships, hosted at Miami, will start Feb. 28 and go through Mar. 2.

The RedHawks will then travel to Buffalo, N.Y. to participate in the MAC Championships on Mar. 6- Mar. 8.
