OXFORD, Ohio – Miami’s men’s swimming squad will be based in Colorado Springs, Colo. for training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center through January 8.
Coach Pete Lindsay’s team has been in the Centennial State since arriving on Dec. 27.
The RedHawk swimmers’ daily regimen begins at 5 a.m. for two hours in the pool. After breakfast, they hit the weights. Following lunch at 11:30 a.m., Lindsay’s team re-enters the water for training from 1 to 3 p.m. After a short break, it trains in the gymnasium for an hour, meets for dinner at 5:30 p.m., and then a team meeting at 7 p.m.
RedHawk team members training in Colorado include Evan Bader, Joe Baumgartner, Chris Breger, Max Cain, Mike Cavanaugh, Sam Crockett, Chris Dieter, Sam Flessner, Mike Heavilon, Ian Joyce, Andrew Kilkenny, Mike Kline, Sean Minderlein, Sean Neri, Will Olson, Jake Prodoehl, Jonathan Profitt, Sam Reeder, Alex Reinhardt, Tyler Simonton, Davis Staley and Anderson Whipp.
Miami’s first action of 2013 is at Cincinnati on Jan. 11. Its next meet at the Nixon Aquatic Center is Jan. 20 vs. Buffalo.
