SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – The Miami University men’s golf team is in 14th place after two rounds at the Northern Intercollegiate Tournament on Saturday. Scoring a 21-over par, 309 in round two, Miami’s team score now is at 48-over par. Houston still leads the tournament with a team score of four-under par.

Sophomore Jack Sparling still stands as Miami’s top individual golfer two rounds. Scoring an 80 today, Sparling’s total score sits at 151, placing him 34th along with six other individuals.

Sophomore Daniel Schwarz had a great turnaround, finishing with  a one-over par 73, the top round Saturday among RedHawk golfers. This score placed him into 64th place, 24 places higher then round one.

Junior Scott Cahill had a score of three-over par 75 placing him in 64th place. Other golfers included freshman Greg Conrad, who had a score of 81, shooting 9 over-par, along with senior teammate Mark MacDonald, who had a score of 81, shooting a nine-over par tying both MacDonald and Conrad for 71st place.

The Northern Intercollegiate Tournament concludes with one final round of 18 holes on Sunday.
