OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University women’s basketball team announced that it has spots available for its 2014 Shooting Camps. The camps will take on place August 5-7, running 6-9 p.m. each night.

There are two options available. The Shooting Camp is available for girls entering the sixth through the 12th grades. Individual attention and focus on the basic concepts of shooting highlight this camp. Technique will be drilled through the repetition of specific drills, stations and competitions. Age and skill level groups will be established to provide the proper attention each individual needs. Each camper will receive an individual shooting evaluation and a t-shirt.

For the younger girls, Miami women’s basketball has the Little Dribblers Camp. For girls entering the first through fifth grades, this camp will teach the basic fundamentals of basketball, including layups, passing, rebounding, dribbling and defense. Stations and competitions will be used to reinforce and evaluate the skills taught. Each camper will receive a fundamental evaluation and a t-shirt.

The camp fee is $75. For more information, contact Assistant Coach Ashley Saia at (513) 529-6787 or check out the brochure here. For online registration, visit the women’s basketball team’s camp homepage at http://www.miamiwomensbasketballcamps.com.
