CARMEL, Ind. - The biggest tournament for the Miami University Men’s golf team has arrived with the annual Mid-American Conference Championship. This weekend the RedHawks will be traveling to Carmel, Indiana to compete against the other eight MAC schools for the league title. This year’s tournament is hosted by University of Toledo at the Prairie View Golf Club course. The course is a par-72 and 7,073 yard design.

"Our practice at home has been great the past week or so,” said coach Zac Zedrick. “We've been able to travel a little bit and work on some of the things that had given us trouble the past couple of tournaments while seeing some golf courses that are similar to Prairie View this weekend.”

Miami’s head coach Zac Zedrick has put together his team of five to compete at this weekend's MAC tournament. Playing for the RedHawks will be junior Scott Cahill, senior Mark MacDonald, sophomores Jack Sparling and Daniel Schwarz and freshmen Greg Conrad. They will be competing against a field of eight other MAC schools that include Kent State, Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Ohio and Toledo.

“The team's really excited about this opportunity and have a lot of confidence in each other,” said coach Zedrick. “We just need to continue to be focused on ourselves and what we need to be doing to play our best golf this weekend."
