CLEVELAND—Miami University women’s tennis senior Christiana Raymond was tabbed the Mid-American Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced late Wednesday night (March 12).
Raymond, who owns a 3.87 grade-point average and majors in kinesiology, went 3-1 last week as Miami split a pair of road matches. Raymond was 2-0 against Nebraska in a tight 4-3 loss to the Huskers on Sunday. She notched a 7-6 (5), 6-1 win at No. 3 singles and posted an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles with teammate Ramona Costea. On Saturday, Raymond helped Miami blank Wyoming, 7-0, with a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 3 singles.
