KENT, Ohio - Miami hits the road for its final two away games of the regular season. First up is a trip to Kent State Sunday for a 2 p.m. contest. Tim Bray has the call, and it can be heard live on Miami All-Access for those who have a subscription.

CONGRATULATIONS HANNAH: With 18:55 left in the second half of Miami’s game against Ball State on Thursday, senior guard Hannah Robertson hit a 15-foot jumper. It put her over the 1,000-point mark for her career. She is only the 22nd player in school history to reach that mark. She finished with a team-high 14 points for the game and now has 1,009 career points.

RETURN TO THE EAST: As is tradition with the Mid-American Conference schedule, the final five games of the regular season feature rematches against Miami’s five East Division rivals. With three of those games at home, the RedHawks still have the chance to move up and host a first round match in the upcoming MAC Tournament. Current eighth place team Northern Illinois is only one game ahead of Miami in the MAC standings at 4-9.

ABOUT KENT STATE: Kent State is 5-19 overall and 2-11 in the MAC. The Golden Flashes have rebounded after dropping their first eight league contests, winning two of their last five. However, they dropped a 61-53 decision to Buffalo in their last game on Wednesday. Kent State struggles on the offensive end, averaging only 55.1 points per game. It has been led by junior forward Montia Johnson and senior guard Amber Dunlap. Each has averaged 8.8 points per game. Johnson leads the Golden Flashes in rebounding at 7.2 caroms per game.

SERIES WITH KENT STATE: Miami has won the last five games against Kent State to tie the all-time series at 40 wins apiece. At 80 total games, the ‘Hawks have played the Golden Flashes more than any other opponent. In their first meeting this season, Miami defeated KSU, 72-62, on Jan. 25. Senior forward Kelsey Simon led the way with a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman forward Nicole Anderson scored 14, while freshman guard Jillian Spurlock contributed 13 points and nine rebounds.
