OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University’s women’s tennis team continues its three-match homestand with a Friday evening contest against the Wright State Raiders at 6 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. matchup against Cincinnati on Saturday. Both matches will take place at the Riverside Athletic Club in Hamilton, Ohio.

The RedHawks are coming off a strong 4-3 victory over Xavier in their first dual match of the season. Sophomore Ana Rajkovic won the deciding point in that contest, winning at No. 6 singles with a lengthy 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (11-9) victory at No. 6 singles.

Wright State enters the weekend with a 1-2 record, notching their first win of the season against IUPUI, 5-2. In tournament play during the 2013-14 campaign, the Raiders compiled a 32-53 record in singles action and a 17-25 record on the doubles court. Wright State will face Abilene Christian for an 11 a.m. match Friday morning before heading to Hamilton to take on Miami.

Cincinnati enters the weekend with a 1-2 record, tallying their only win at home against Toledo, 4-3. In their other two matches of the season, the Bearcats were swept 7-0 by both No. 40 Indiana and No. 42 Kentucky. Cincinnati will take on Abilene Christian Friday evening at 6 p.m. prior to visiting the RedHawks on Saturday.

Miami returns to action next Saturday, Feb. 8 when they travel to Indiana for a match against the Hoosiers. The RedHawks next home contest is set for Feb. 9 against IUPUI. All home contests throughout the indoor season will take place at the Riverside Athletic Club in Hamilton, Ohio.
