GOTHENBURG, Sweden—After the short program at the Leon Lurje Trophy, Miami University’s junior synchronized skating team sits in fifth place among the 11-team field.

The RedHawks, one of two junior teams representing the United States at the event, posted a score of 36.84 for their short program set to the music “Anything Goes” and “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better.” Miami, who had one fall, notched a technical element score of 14.70 and a program component score of 23.14.

Team Convivium leads the field with a score of 52.87 after the short program and is followed by Team Spirit (45.80), Synchroettes (44.75), Reflections (42.43), Miami, Les Miracles (35.30), Fireblades (34.68), Chrystal Dreams (34.50), Team Seaside (29.94), Team Moonlights (29.28) and Team Rhapsody (26.32.

Miami rounds out its weekend at the Leon Lurje Trophy with Sunday’s free skate event.
