Football

Last Week: The Miami University football team dropped a 44-7 decision last Wednesday to Buffalo as the RedHawks celebrated senior day (Recap). Drew Kummer scored Miami’s lone touchdown and freshman Heath Harding added his third interception of the year. This Week: Miami will conclude the 2013 season with a trip to Ball State on Friday, Nov. 29 (Preview). Opening kick Is set for 1 p.m. and will carried live on ESPNU.

Men’s Basketball

Last Week: Sophomore guard Geovonie McKnight scored 10 points to lead the RedHawks in a 77-51 loss at Xavier on Nov. 20. (Recap) Miami suffered a 65-63 loss to Wilmington in its home opener on Nov. 23. Senior forward Will Felder recorded his first double-double of the season and third as a RedHawk with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Senior guard Quinten Rollins tied career highs of 18 points and seven rebounds and added five steals and four assists against the Quakers. (Recap) This Week: The RedHawks are idle until hosting IPFW on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Women’s Basketball

Last Week: In its only game last week, Miami (1-3 overall) made a spirited comeback in the second half, coming from 23 points behind to pull to as close as five, but UIC hit its free throws down the stretch to secure a 76-66 victory on Saturday. (Recap) This Week: Miami hosts two games this week. On Tuesday, the RedHawks welcome Duquesne to Millett Hall for a 7 p.m. tip. That is the first Dollar Days game of the season, and admission is only $1. On Sunday, the RedHawks host Florida State at 2 p.m. Tim Bray has the call and both games will air live on Miami All-Access for those who have a subscription.

Ice Hockey

Last Week: The No. 8 RedHawks stumbled on the road in dropping two games at NCHC foe Omaha over the weekend. Miami drew first blood on Bryon Paulazzo's power play goal on Friday, but five-unanswered goals in the second sent the Red and White to a 6-3 loss in the series opener. (Recap) The RedHawks got on the board first once again on Saturday with Matthew Caito scoring his first of the year midway through the first period. The Mavs, however, countered with two power play goals and a short-handed tally to top MU 3-1 in the series finale (Recap). This Week: Miami spends the Thanksgiving holiday in Bemidji, Minn., for a two-game non-conference series at Bemidji State.

Men’s Swimming

Last Week: Miami’s swimming and diving team was defeated by Purdue, 145.5-151.5, in the Boilermaker Aquatic Center, resulting in the men’s first loss of the 2013-14 season (Recap). Next Week: The RedHawks return to action on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. for the Miami Invitational held in the Nixon Aquatic Center.

Women’s Swimming

Last Week: Miami had last week off. Next Week: Miami returns to action on Dec. 5 when they host the Miami Invitational for three consecutive days.

Miami head golf coach Zac Zedrick announced Tuesday the signing of Patrick Flavin to a National Letter of Intent. Flavin has decided to continue his golf career at Miami University beginning in the 2014-15 season. (Release)
