OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University took care of business on the rink, but saw itself drop one spot to No. 7 in this week’s USCHO.com poll. The RedHawks, then the No. 6 team in the poll, swept Canisius by scores of 3-0 and 5-2 at Steve Cady Arena last weekend.

Minnesota is still unanimously the top team in the poll, receiving all 50 first-place votes and 1,000 voting points. Michigan is second (900 points) and is followed by St. Cloud State (824), Notre Dame (804), Quinnipiac (791) and Providence (784). MU has 777 points in the poll.

The RedHawks have an opportunity to impress the voters this weekend when they travel to No. 3 St. Cloud State for a weekend conference series. Game one is on Friday at 8:37 p.m.
