After a 0-1-1 weekend at Providence College the Miami University hockey team dropped to No. 6 in this week’s USCHO.com national poll. The RedHawks were No. 3 heading into last weekend.

Minnesota garnered all 50 first-place votes and sits atop the USCHO poll with 1,000 points. Notre Dame is second (890), followed by Providence (844), Michigan (810) and North Dakota (777). Miami, who is sixth with 743 points, has already faced two of the top five teams in the country (Providence and North Dakota).

The Red & White face Canisius this weekend inside Steve Cady Arena. Friday’s action begins at 7:35 p.m., followed by a 7:05 p.m. start on Saturday.
