Ann Arbor, Mich. – Miami University’s golf team returns to action Monday when they participate in the Wolverine Intercollegiate tournament. The tournament will take place at the University of Michigan Golf Course, which is a par-71, 6,704-yard design. It will feature 36 holes on Monday and finish the final round of 18 holes on Tuesday.

"We're excited to go up to Michigan and show how much we've grown and learned from our experience last week at Rich Harvest Farms,” said coach Zedrick

Playing for the RedHawks at this week’s tournament will be sophomores Jack Sparling and Daniel Schwarz, juniors Scott Cahill and Luke Shaughnessy, and senior Mark MacDonald. They are part of a ten-team field that includes Penn State, Detroit, Michigan, Michigan State, Lamar, San Jose State, Oakland and Xavier, along with fellow Mid-American Conference schools Eastern Michigan and Toledo.

“The University of Michigan Golf Course is different in that it's a little shorter off the tee and more of a placement golf course, but the greens are similar in difficulty compared to what we've seen so far this season,” said Zedrick. “We'll see some peers from the MAC along with some Big Ten schools, so we're looking forward to the challenge."
