OXFORD, Ohio – First-year head coach Danny Hayden has announced that Miami Baseball will hold walk-on tryouts for prospective players for the 2014 season on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Tryouts will begin promptly at 6 p.m. and participants should meet at McKie Field at Hayden Park by 5:30 p.m. Players trying out should bring all necessary baseball equipment, including bats, gloves, cleats and catching gear (if necessary). Those trying out will be put through a variety of workouts and drills.

Prior to trying out, prospective players must complete the pre-participation physical exam form, have had a physical exam within the last year and sign the NCAA drug testing consent form. The pre-participation physical exam form and NCAA drug testing consent form can be picked up in the Miami Baseball office, which is room 120 in Withrow Court. The forms must then be returned to the Miami Baseball office no later than Sept. 6 in order to be eligible to participate in tryouts. In addition, all players trying out must be enrolled in at least 12 hours at Miami University.
