OXFORD, Ohio – After everyone successfully passed their conditioning tests in the morning, the Miami University volleyball team held its opening practice Saturday evening. Head Coach Carolyn Condit and her two new assistant coaches Chuck Rey and Jenni Hirneisen ran the RedHawks through a series of challenging drills aimed towards improving their footwork and defensive skills. A photo gallery of Saturday’s practice is available here.
Miami returns eight letterwinners from last season’s squad, and brings in a strong class of three freshmen. The RedHawks will have three weeks of preseason practice before opening the season on Aug. 30 when they take on Gardner-Webb at 5 p.m. (EDT) to open the Belmont Invitational.
