CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Miami tennis players Nimisha Mohan and Alix Thurman have been named All-Mid-American Conference in a vote of coaches, the league office announced today prior to the start of the 2013 Championship.

Mohan was a first-team selection, while Thurman gained second-team honors. The RedHawks won the regular-season for the fifth straight year, registering a 7-1 record in league play. They have 40 of their last 41 regular-season conference matches and 49 of 52 against league opponents.

Mohan posted a 22-11 record during the year, including 14-9 in dual matches. She was 5-3 in the league, with seven of her matches coming at No. 1. Thurman played No. 2 throughout the majority of the season, also posting a 5-2 mark there. She was 5-3 against MAC foes, and 21-12 overall.

Miami opens championship play Saturday morning at 10 a.m. against the winner of Friday's quarterfinal matchup between No. 5 Western Michigan and No. 4 Ball State. The tournament is being held in Muncie, Ind.
