BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Miami University golf team shot a final round score of six-over par 290 to finish the Hoosier Invitational in fourth place. The RedHawks finished the tournament at 15-over par overall and were only two shots behind third-place Michigan. Indiana won its home event at two-under par.
Miami placed two golfers among the top 10 individually. Junior Austin Kelly shot a final round 71 to finish at three-under par. He tied for fourth place, only two shots behind the winner, Andrew Fogg of Indiana. Sophomore Scott Cahill had the best round for any RedHawk on Sunday, shooting a career-low three-under par 68. He tied for ninth overall at even par. It was his first collegiate top-10 finish.
Miami continues play in the Midwest next weekend when it participates in the Hawkeye Invitational. The RedHawks will play 36 holes on Saturday and one final round of 18 holes on Sunday.
