Prior to its Saturday competition at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in Boston, Miami University’s synchronized skating program will host an event for alumni, fans, family and friends from noon to 3 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge.

Registration for the Saturday, April 6 event will be at the door and the cost is $10 per person. Light appetizers will be served and there will be a cash bar. There is parking on-site, or it is a short walk over the BU Bridge from the BU East or BU Central stop on the Green Line.

Miami, which is one of two teams representing the United States at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships, competes in the short program event on Friday evening at 7 p.m. and follows with the free skate competition on Saturday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. This is the RedHawks’ 10th world championship appearance and first since 2011. Miami’s silver medal at the 2007 world championships was the first medal won by a U.S. team at the event and remains the highest world championship finish by a U.S. team.
