CLEVELAND - The Mid-American Conference announced its All-MAC women's basketball teams on Friday. Two Miami RedHawks were honored by the league. Senior guard Courtney Osborn (Fishers, Ind.) was named to the All-MAC First Team, while senior forward Kirsten Olowinski (Erie, Pa.) earned a spot on the All-MAC Second Team.

Osborn becomes the first women's basketball player in Miami history to earn All-MAC honors during all four years of her career. This is the second straight season that she earned first-team honors after being named to the Third Team each of her first two years. Osborn leads the RedHawks with an 18.4 points per game average. She also averages 4.8 assists per contest. Earlier this season, she became Miami's all-time leading scorer and is only the 12th player in MAC history to pass the 2,000-point mark. Osborn has been named MAC East Division Player of the Week three times this season.

This is the second straight season Olowinski has been honored by the league. She was named to the Third Team last season. She is second on Miami with an 11.7 points per game average and leads the MAC with 10.5 rebounds per game. She became the 'Hawks all-time leading rebounder earlier this season and also the first to pass 1,000 career caroms. She currently ranks third in MAC history with 1,123 career rebounds.

The MAC Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards will be announced by the league office next Tuesday (March 12).

Miami begins its MAC Tournament Championship quest as the sixth seed in 2013. It starts with a first-round match against 11th seed Ohio Saturday at 2 p.m. in Millett Hall. Tim Bray has the call and it can be seen live on Miami All-Access for those who have a subscription.
