OXFORD, Ohio - Senior Bekka Westrick of Miami University has been selected to compete in next week's NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis.

Westrick will compete in the 50 freestyle on Thursday (Mar. 14). Her time of 22.41 currently ranks 33rd best among the nation's swimmers. Margo Green of Arizona has the best time with a clocking of 21.78.

On Friday (Mar. 15), Westrick will be entered in the 100 butterfly. She had a 52.91 time earlier this season, the 37th-best time. UCLA's Ting Wen Quah leads all butterflyers with a time of 52.13.

Finally, on Saturday (Mar. 16), Westrick swims the 100 freestyle. She has the NCAA's 69th-best time in that event. Arizona's Geer has the best time, a 47.16 clocking.

Seventy two teams will be represented next week in Indy, including six Mid-American Conference  schools. In addition to Westrick, Ball State's Bridgette Ruehl (100 breaststroke), Bowling Green's Ana Carrillo Avilez (200 breaststroke), Buffalo's Brittney Kuras (100 free) and Mallory Morrell (50 free), Eastern Michigan's Briana Emig (1650 free) and Ohio's Laurin Williams (1650 free) also will compete.
