OXFORD, Ohio -- The 2013 portion of the Miami Tennis schedule begins on Saturday when the RedHawks face Big Ten member Indiana in a neutral-site match. The action begins at 11 a.m. at Western Hills Tennis Club in Cincinnati.

The RedHawks, who have won the MAC regular-season title in each of the last four years, returns four regulars from the 2011-12 team. Team captain Christiana Raymond earned second-team All-Mid-American Conference honors, while sophomores Alix Thurman and Christine Guerrazzi both enjoyed success during their initial collegiate campaigns. Junior Nimisha Mohan is the highest-ranked returning, having played at No. 3 last year.

The fall season was one of the most successful in school history with the RedHawks combining for a 46-18 singles record as individuals. Thurman and Ramona Costea each posted a 9-2 record in tournament play, while Mohan won eight of her 10 matches. Raymond and Guerrazzi both won seven times in their three tournaments.

Indiana started its spring schedule, when it hosted the Adidas IU Winter Invite. The Hoosiers finished with a 13-2 record in singles and were 14-3 in doubles action. No. 1 singles player Leslie Hureau was 1-1 against a pair of ranked opponents.
