OXFORD, Ohio - Although classes don't resume until next week, members of the Miami hockey team will be mastering their skills in the kitchen this week when they serve up dinner to the community during Rico's Ristoranté, which is set for Wednesday, Jan. 9. The annual event is sponsored by the Blue Line Club.

The dinner will be held at Bell Tower Place on Miami's campus (in the alley off High Street between Tallawanda Road and Bishop Street), as it has been in years past, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The early start time allows fans that also want to attend Miami's men's basketball game against Northern Illinois at 7 p.m. Wednesday plenty of time to enjoy dinner before heading down the street to Millett Hall for tip-off. The all-you-can-eat dinner is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The dinner is open to the public and no tickets/reservations are needed as patrons can pay at the door.

The meal has a variety of options that the players will be offering up, including a stir fry station, pizza, salad, wings and cheese sticks for dinner while smoothies and dessert will also be available. At the stir fry station, those dining will have the option to pick from beef, chicken or shrimp along with all the vegetables, sauces and rice they desire. The players will then mix it together and cook it in a wok where it will be served with an egg roll for a delicious meal.

Players will also be in front of the oven, tossing dough, laying on the cheese and slicing up several varieties of tasty pizza. A salad bar will give diners the option to create their own salad made by the players while chicken wings and cheese sticks will be available at the deep fryer for some lighter fare. Some RedHawks will be blending fresh smoothies with all sorts of fresh fruit and yogurt to choose from while dessert will include ice cream and cherries jubilee.

Rico's Ristoranté also gives fans the opportunity to meet and interact with the players while possibly even snapping some photos with the RedHawks, as they serve dinner to the Oxford community. Don't miss this chance to support the Miami hockey team and the Blue Line Club while also getting to enjoy a great meal served by the team itself.
