OXFORD, Ohio - Are you a Miami University Athletics fan? Does where you live make it impossible to attend events only once or twice a season? If you've answered yes to both of those questions, then we've got a great way to get all of the inside scoop. Even better, it can be as close as the Miami RedHawks app on the smart phone in your pants pocket.

Miami All-Access is your ultra-handy pass to all things RedHawks. Live events for football, ice hockey, men & women's basketball and many other sports.

Miami All-Access powered by the Miami Bookstore experienced tremendous growth in 2011-12, live-streaming more than 125 events a year ago, up from approximately 20 live broadcasts in four sports in 2010-11. This season, in addition to RedHawk ice hockey and volleyball action, All-Access subscribers have been able to follow the regular-season and Mid-American Conference Tournament championship action for both Miami's soccer and field hockey squads. Just underway this past week were live events for both men's and women's basketball. Coming up later this season are nearly every Miami baseball and softball games.

But coverage of live events is just a portion to what subscribers will have early access. Miami All-Access give fans in-season coaches shows for every sport, including football, men's and women's basketball, ice hockey, volleyball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's track and field, synchronized skating, golf and tennis. Subscribers will also be able to listen to and, later, view the popular Thursday night show entitled HawkTawk.

If the RedHawks are on the road, subscribers will have the ability to listen to every RedHawk football, ice hockey and men's basketball event, as well as nearly every women's basketball game. Postgame shows are also available for several sports.

In addition, Miami All-Access subscribers will be able to watch a variety of other programming throughout the 2012-13 season, including the popular "RedHawk Recruiting Live" in early February that allows fans to get all of the details about the newest Miami football recruits.

Furthermore, much of the programming in 2012-13 will be in High Definition, an HD platform that will set Miami All-Access apart from the packages that other universities offer.

Miami Athletics, in conjunction with online partner NeuLion, has launched a smart phone app that gives RedHawk fans greater access to news, information, statistics and the All-Access audio and video platforms. The product can be downloaded through the Google Play store. Two versions of the app are available, offering free and premium models. The standard version displays news, schedules, live stats and photos, while the premium version adds on-demand video and a portal for all-access subscribers to listen to live audio. The premium app costs $4.99 and is licensed for a year.

An iPad app is in the final stages of development and approval and will be released in the near future.
