BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Sophomore Ramona Costea posted a pair of singles wins on Friday to advance to the finals of the No. 3 flight at the BGSU Invitational. She will face Xavier's Andrea Wolf on Saturday.

Costea, undefeated in six matches this season, took out Cincinnati's Caitlin O'Gara 1-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-1) in her first match, then knocked off Vanessa Whyte of IUPUI 6-1, 6-4 in the semifinals.

The only other RedHawk competing this weekend, freshman Ana Rajkovic, suffered a tough collegiate debut. She lost two matches, 6-3, 6-4 to Alex Power of Cleveland State and 6-4, 6-3 to Xavier's Daniella Patton, on the opening day.

She will face Mackenzie Bowman of Toledo in the seventh-place match of Flight 2 tomorrow.

Costea and Rajkovic teamed up for an 8-6 victory over the Cleveland State doubles team of Power and Nicole Janek in the first round of the No. 3 doubles flight. They will face the Bowling Green team of Drew Fillis and Jade Johnson in tomorrow's semifinal.
