Pigskin Preview and Cookout Coming August 11

Scrimmage, Autographs and Good Food on Tap

OXFORD, Ohio -- Football, food and fun will be the order of the day at Yager Stadium on Saturday, August 11, when Miami University's athletic department brings back the Pigskin Preview and Cookout presented by the Oxford Chamber of Commerce.

The festivities begin at 11 a.m. with a scrimmage by Coach Don Treadwell's RedHawk football squad, chosen by one pre-season publication to win the Mid-American Conference's East Division. Following the practice, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Miami players will be available to the fans for autographs and photos.

At 2 p.m., fans will be able to have lunch with RedHawk players and coaches for an old fashioned cookout under Yager's east stands. There will be a charge of $15 per person to participate in the luncheon and raffle portion of the day.

Also being held that day will be an equipment and apparel sale. Information about the site and time of the sale is forthcoming.

The 2012 Pigskin Preview and Cookout is a community event hosted in partnership with the Oxford Chamber of Commerce.  Families and kids of all ages are invited to attend.

Fans must register online by Tuesday, August 7, to attend the luncheon. Click here to buy your tickets.
