OXFORD, Ohio – For RedHawk fans who’ve never had a chance to experience the game of football in an up-close-and-personal fashion from the sideline, you won’t want to miss this Saturday’s (Apr. 20) Miami University football practice and scrimmage at Yager Stadium. The first event of the 2013 Spring Showcase begins at 12 noon.

Fans will be allowed to watch from Yager’s west sideline as well as from behind the north and south end zones. Space is limited, so fans are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes early. There also will be seating in the west main stands of the stadium.

There will be a live camera on the sidelines and interviews with coaches and other surprise guests will be featured throughout the practice on Yager's video board.

Fans are then encouraged to attend Miami’s baseball game against Ball State. It begins at 3 p.m. at Hayden Park, just a few blocks away from Yager. Several members of Miami’s Mid-American Conference championship teams from 1973 and 1983 will be reuniting at the game and will be introduced to the crowd.

Admission to both the football and baseball events is absolutely free.

The Miami Athletic Ticket Office will have a table set-up on the west concourse at the Showcase for renewals and for new season ticket purchasers starting at 11 a.m. Fans also may call the ATO and order season tickets at 513-529-HAWK (4295).
