ATLANTA - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Thursday its All-Region nominees for the Division I Coaches' All-America Team. For the second straight season, senior guard Courtney Osborn (Fishers, Ind.) was selected as one of the nominees from Region 4. She was previously named this season to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team and was named MAC East Division Player of the Week three times.

Osborn is the first women's basketball player in Miami history to earn All-MAC honors during all four years of her career. She leads the RedHawks with an 18.4 points per game average. She also averages 4.8 assists per contest. Earlier this season, she became Miami's all-time leading scorer and is only the 12th player in MAC history to pass the 2,000-point mark.

This is the fourth time a Miami player has won a WBCA All-Region nominee award. In addition to Osborn's honors the past two seasons, Mary Ann Myers (1982) and Heather Cusick (2003) have also earned the award.

From these 52 total honorees, the 10-member WBCA Coaches' All-America Team will be decided. The 2013 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team will be announced at 2:10 p.m. (EDT) Saturday April 6, during NCAA® Women's Final Four® Super Saturday festivities in the New Orleans Arena.

Miami begins play in the WNIT Thursday night when it travels to Champaign to take on Illinois at 8 p.m. (EDT).
