Miami University Athletics and adidas have agreed to a new seven-year deal that will expand the contract between the two parties until May 30, 2021. All athletic Miami teams, coaches and staff will be sponsored by adidas.
"We are excited to continue our partnership with adidas,” said David Sayler, Director of Athletics. “They have proven to be great partners in terms of quality and service for the RedHawk athletic program. Aligning ourselves with adidas, a national leader in shoe and performance wear, will benefit our student-athletes in the end and that is at the forefront of our minds in every decision we make."
Miami teams can earn additional adidas equipment through several avenues of success, including: team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, NCAA appearances, bowl game appearances and coach of the year awards.
“Miami University has a longstanding tradition of academic and athletic excellence and innovation, and adidas is excited to help continue this momentum – and the school’s unique reputation as the ‘Cradle of Coaches’ – in a renewed partnership over the next seven years,” said Mark Daniels, director of team sports for adidas America. “We’re bringing our latest footwear and apparel to Miami’s entire men’s and women’s athletic department so the RedHawks can continue to perform at their best.”
