Lindsay Scarlatelli
Position: Director of Women's Basketball Operations
Alma Mater: Oakland
Graduating Year: 2010
Experience: 1st Year

Lindsay Scarlatelli joins Miami this season as the team’s new director of basketball operations. Scarlatelli comes to the RedHawks from Oakland, where she spent the past season as an assistant coach.

"Lindsay brings great energy and experience to our director of basketball operations position,” said Wright. “We are excited to welcome her into our Miami women's basketball family."

While with the Grizzlies, Scarlatelli worked with the post players and served as the team’s recruiting coordinator. She played an instrumental part in building a top-rated recruiting class for Oakland, featuring three players ranked in the top 100 in their position by various publications.

Using her recruiting expertise, Scarlatelli has spent the past four months as an evaluator and site supervisor for the U.S. Junior Nationals (USJN) and Blue Star Basketball.

Prior to her time at Oakland, Scarlatelli spent a season (2012-13) as both the director of basketball operations and an assistant coach at UIC and two seasons (2010-12) as a graduate assistant at Michigan State. While with the Flames, she was promoted to assistant coach in December of 2012. She helped with player development, opponent scouting and recruiting. While with the Spartans, Scarlatelli served as the assistant to the recruiting coordinator, was the director of their youth club, coordinated team practices and shootarounds and oversaw the student manager staff. She was part of the program's first outright Big Ten championship in 2011.

Scarlatelli was a four-year member of the Oakland women’s golf team and also was the women’s basketball team’s manager from 2006-10, handling most administrative and DOBO duties while the team was on the road. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Oakland in 2010 and her master’s degree in kinesiology from Michigan State in 2012.

"I am beyond grateful and excited for this opportunity that Coach Cleve Wright and Miami University has presented me as the new Director of Basketball Operations,” said Scarlatelli. “Coach Wright and the Miami staff are highly respected in our profession for not only being such tremendous people, but for how hard they work, how they carry themselves on and off the court and for the positive impact they have made and continue to make at Miami University. I cannot wait to join them and learn the Miami way."
