OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University head baseball coach Danny Hayden announced that the program is holding walk-on tryouts for the 2015 roster on Monday, Sept. 8.
Tryouts will start at 6 p.m. and interested participants should report to McKie Field at Hayden Park by 5:30 p.m. Players trying out should bring all of the necessary equipment (bats, gloves, cleats and (if necessary) catching gear). Those trying out will be put through a variety of workouts and drills.
Prospective players are required to complete a pre-participation physical exam form, have had a physical exam in the past year and sign the NCAA drug testing consent form prior to the tryout. The pre-participation exam and NCAA drug testing consent forms can be picked up in the Miami Baseball Office (120 Withrow Court). All forms must be returned to Deb Vogt at the baseball office by no later than Sept. 5 in order to participate in the tryout. In addition, all players must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Miami University.
