CLEVELAND – For the second straight week a great RedHawk pitching performance was rewarded as Miami University right-handed pitcher Nathan Williams was named MAC East Division Pitcher of the Week.

Williams earned his first career MAC award after his start against Bowling Green last Saturday. He bounced back from a rocky outing with one of his top performances of the season. The junior finished one out shy of a complete game win in the 3-1 victory over the Falcons. He fanned seven batters and poured 83 of his 133 pitches in for strikes.

Williams is the second straight RedHawk to win East Division Pitcher of the Week honors after senior left-hander Seth Varner took the award last week.

Miami returns to the diamond Tuesday when it travels to Columbus to take on Ohio State at 6:35 p.m.
