COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Junior forward Austin Czarnik (Washington, Mich./Green Bay (USHL)) and sophomore forward Riley Barber (Pittsburgh, Pa./USNTDP (USHL)) both landed on the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s all-conference teams, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Czarnik earned a spot on the All-NCHC first team while Barber was a second-team All-NCHC selection.

Czarnik led the RedHawks with 43 points, which tied for the most overall points in the conference. His 32 assists also led all NCHC players and are tied for the fourth most in the country. In league play, Czarnik tallied 22 points in 23 games. He also finished second in the league with 17 assists against NCHC foes.

Barber finished second on Miami with 38 points on 18 goals (t-fourth in the league) and 20 assists. During league play, the sophomore forward netted 10 goals and 18 points.

This marks the second-straight year that both Czarnik and Barber earned all-conference honors. Czarnik was the Central Collegiate Hockey Association’s Player of the Year in 2013 while Barber was the CCHA Rookie of the Year. Both landed also earned first-team All-CCHA honors that year.

The RedHawks begin their trek through the NCHC Tournament when they star t a best-of-three series at St. Cloud State on Friday night.
