COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Miami University’s senior synchronized skating team finished in fourth place among the nine-team field at the U.S. National Championships on Saturday night.
The RedHawks finished with a combined score of 149.64, posting a free skate score of 96.41 on Saturday night and a short program score of 56.23 on Friday. With their free skate program themed “Cards,” Miami had a program component score of 59.42 and a total element score of 37.99 but incurred 4.0 deductions.
The Haydenettes won the senior division with a combined score of 205.02. Crystallettes finished second with a score of 179.77 followed by Starlights (154.90), Miami, Skyliners (145.21), ICE’Kateers (137.55), California Gold (137.05), Team Excel (96.92) and Adrian College (95.77).
This completes the competitive season for all three RedHawk synchronized skating teams. All three teams will perform a final time when they take part in the annual Goggin Ice Show May 2-3.
