It stayed that way until the top of the fourth when the Braves tacked on two more runs. In the bottom of the fourth with two outs, sophomore outfielder Taylor Shuey singled through the left side. She then stole second. Senior catcher Kayla Ledbetter drove Shuey home with a double down the left field line that made it 7-2.

The RedHawks made a valiant comeback attempt in the bottom of the seventh inning. Ledbetter led off with a double down the left field line. A single by senior second baseman Kristy Arbour moved Ledbetter up to third. A walk by senior designated player Allie Larrabee loaded the bases with no one out. A groundout by sophomore first baseman Jenna Modic drove in Ledbetter and made it 7-3. After another out was recorded, junior outfielder Bree Lipscomb was hit by the pitch to reload the bases and bring the tying run to the plate. Bradley pitcher Madeline Lynch-Crumrine was able to get McChesney to fly out to center field to end the game.

Ledbetter finished the game 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Shuey and Arbour each had two hits for Miami.
