CLEVELAND – Miami University junior distance runner Anna Lamb (Granville, Ohio/Granville) was named the Mid-American Conference’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced.
A Kinesiology major, Lamb holds a 3.92 grade-point average. She won the 5000m at last weekend’s Tom Wright Classic, clocking a time of 17:01.35 to help the RedHawks win the quad meet. Her true time is three seconds shy of her indoor best and converts to 16:53.59 on an oversize track, second fastest in the conference.
This marks Lamb’s first MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week award of the season and the third time she has claimed the honor in her career.
