OXFORD, Ohio—As Miami University kicks off the spring semester on Jan. 27, the RedHawk men’s basketball team returns home to Millett Hall this week to battle a pair of Mid-American Conference West Division foes.

The RedHawks host West Division leader Toledo on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. At halftime of the game against the Rockets, the fan-favorite Kings Firecrackers jump rope group will perform.

Prior to the game as part of the Armstrong Student Center Grand Opening Celebration, Miami Athletics and the Red & White Club are hosting a pre-game reception at the Armstrong Student Center from 5-6:30 p.m. Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the Armstrong Student Center, hear from Miami football student-athlete Heath Harding and enjoy some light appetizers. The event is free and open to the public. Because parking is limited around the Armstrong Center, a shuttle service will run from the Millett Hall West Lot from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Miami continues a two-game home stretch when the RedHawks host Eastern Michigan at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1. Miami Basketball will host its Alumni Weekend and also celebrate its 1958-59, 1968-69, 1983-84 and 1998-99 MAC Championship teams.

On Friday, Jan. 31, there will be a social hour at 45 East from 7:30-9:30 p.m. with complimentary beer, wine and snacks for men’s basketball alumni. This event requires an RSVP.

Prior Saturday’s game, men’s basketball alumni and Red & White Club members are invited to a pregame reception, which includes lunch, from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Walter L. Gross Center. This event also requires an RSVP.

Contact Brenda Bertsch at 513-529-8097 or bertscbs@MiamiOH.edu to RSVP for the Alumni Weekend events and RWC pre-game reception on Feb. 1.
