OXFORD, Ohio – In the 2014 Mid-American Conference preseason coaches poll, Miami University’s women’s tennis team was selected to capture both the MAC regular-season title and the MAC Tournament championship.
Last season, Miami won its fifth consecutive MAC regular-season title, and the No. 1 seeded RedHawks proceeded to down No. 2 Bowling Green, 4-3, in the MAC Tournament title match. In the NCAA Tournament, Miami lost to Stanford in the first round. The Cardinal went on to win the NCAA Championship.
Miami returns six of its seven players from last season’s squad, with the additions of freshmen Andreea Badileanu and Diana Suarez.
This year, Miami will host the 2014 MAC Tournament the weekend of April 25-27.

Miami hosts Xavier University for the RedHawks' first dual match of the 2014 season this Sunday. The contest will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Hamilton, Ohio at the Riverside Athletic Club.
