OXFORD, Ohio—Miami’s women’s swimming and diving team looks for their seventh straight dual meet win as they travel to face-off with Mid-American Conference foe, University at Buffalo, on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m.

The RedHawks hold a 6-1 dual meet record and currently search for their seventh straight win with their only loss coming to Purdue on Oct. 18. With Miami’s victory at the Miami Invitational on Dec. 5-7, the RedHawks are looking for their eighth straight overall win.

Miami is coming off two straight comfortable wins over Cincinnati, 117-119, and Evansville, 183-109 over the last two weeks. Their most recent competition was on Jan. 18 against Evansville where the RedHawks earned 13 first-place finishes out of 16 total events.

The RedHawks, this season, have benefited from great team balance with a number of swimmers stepping up. Last week, it was junior Annie Marquiss, sophomore Elizabeth Zilch, sophomore Sara Krueger, freshman Brittany Dudzinski, freshman Claire Mongenas, senior Michaela Scott and sophomore Katherine Blodgett who earned first-place finishes in addition to other key point contributions in relays and additional events.

Freshman Stephanie LeMire and sophomore Aubrey Kluth are two swimmers who have both been solid all season, winning events in five of eight competitions this season after not swimming against Evansville.

The University at Buffalo Bulls are 3-3 in dual meets this season. They are coming into their MAC showdown with Miami winning two of their last three, defeating Niagara, 126-88, and Michigan State, 178-122. Their loss came to fellow conference foe, Eastern Michigan, 148-152. The Bulls travel to face St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, Jan. 22, before hosting the RedHawks on Saturday.

When these two teams met last season, the RedHawks came away with the win, 177-120, at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
