Miami University’s synchronized skating program returns to the ice this weekend with the senior and collegiate teams in action at the Mid-America Championships Jan. 11-12.

Miami’s senior team had a quick turnaround, competing at the Foot of the Lake Classic last weekend where the RedHawks placed second among the four-team field. The senior team skates its short program to “Let It Be”. The RedHawks’ free skate program is themed “Cards”.

The RedHawk collegiate team returns to the ice for the first time since placing second at the Dr. Richard Porter Classic in the season-opening event on Dec. 8. Miami’s program is themed “Moments”.

Last year, Miami’s senior team placed second in the short program and first in the free skate event at this competition. The RedHawk collegiate team took first place at the 2013 Mid-America Championships.
