OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University women’s basketball coach Cleve Wright announced the completion of his coaching staff on Tuesday with the addition of Matt Lynch as the new Director of Video Operations. Lynch comes to the RedHawks from Edinboro University, where he was a student assistant coach for three seasons.
"Matt brings great energy and enthusiasm to our staff,” said Wright. “He is a relentless worker and has a strong desire to learn. He is a great fit for the position here at Miami."
While earning his undergraduate degree at Edinboro, Lynch worked for the men’s basketball team under head coach Greg Walcavich for three seasons. He helped with video editing, film exchange, team travel, academic monitoring, fundraising, web design and on court coaching. He also was instrumental in coordinating the future Fighting Scots’ boys basketball camp.
Lynch also gained experience serving as an assistant coach at Ft. Leboeuf High School in Waterford, Pa., as well as working on the staff of several basketball camps throughout the Midwest.
“I am very excited to accept this opportunity from Miami University and Coach Wright,” said Lynch. “Coach Wright and his staff have offered me this challenge and I am looking forward to exceeding their expectations. There is a significant amount of experience on this staff, and I can't wait to contribute to Miami Basketball.”
