WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Miami University golf team has its final test before the Mid-American Conference Championship when it participates in the Boilermaker Invitational this weekend. The RedHawks will play 36 holes on Saturday, and conclude the tournament with one final round of 18 holes on Sunday.

The Boilermaker Invitational takes place at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on the campus of Purdue University. The course measures 7,465 yards long and is a par-72.

"Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex is a great test of golf, it's hosted the NCAA Championship and several major college and junior level tournaments,” said Miami head coach Zac Zedrick. “It's exactly what we need before the MAC Championship and the field will be excellent. We're looking forward to bouncing back and competing the way we’re capable of this weekend."

Representing Miami this week will be redshirt junior Mark MacDonald, sophomore Luke Shaughnessy and freshmen Bud Radis, Daniel Schwarz and Jack Sparling. They will face a field of 18, including MAC rivals Akron, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois and Toledo. In addition to the host Purdue, also participating are Chicago State, Cleveland State, Creighton, Drake, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisville, Loyola, Michigan State and Wichita State.
