2012: Started in all 15 of his appearances... posted a 7-3 record on the season, tying him for the team lead in wins... allowed 55 runs (47 earned) in 88.2 innings for a 4.77 ERA... struck out 47 batters, while walking only 25... held opponents to a .294 batting average... pitched a complete game in a 2-1 victory over Eastern Michigan in the Mid-American Conference Tournament (May 24)... his other complete game was against Sacred Heart on March 8... threw 7.1 scoreless innings in a 6-0 win over Akron on May 5... season high for strikeouts was six on two occasions (Sacred Heart and Eastern Michigan)... pitched at least seven innings on nine occasions.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years of baseball at Farragut High School under coach Tommy Pharr ... sophomore year, hit .340 with a pair of homers and went 6-2 as a pitcher ... as a junior in 2008, batted .469 with 18 doubles and eight home runs ...also went 6-0 as a pitcher as a junior ... during senior campaign (2009), hit .410 with 12 round-trippers and 55 RBI ... on the mound, went 6-1 with a 1.54 ERA ... helped the Admirals to three Tennessee Division I (AAA) state championships (as a freshman, junior and senior) ... as a freshman helped team finish 30-15, as a junior team went 43-3 and finished 10th in the country according to Baseball America, and in senior year led Admirals to a 39-5 mark and a third state title in four years, as the team finished with a No. 9 ranking nationally by Baseball America and USA Today ... was named all-district final three years of high school and first-team all-region as a junior and senior ... earned first-team all-state honors by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association in both 2008 and 2009.
